Projects Undertaken at Vanderbilt Objects With Linked eXtensible Markup Language (OWLXML) (2002) – Involved the generation of a Domain Specific Modeling Environment (DSME) for modeling objects (Image Files, Sound Files and HTML documents) hierarchically, sequentially and horizontally using GME 2000 (A modeling tool developed by the Institute of Software Integrated Systems (ISIS), Vanderbilt University) and writing an interpreter in MS VC ++ for interpreting the models. Projects Undertaken at Datascan Management of Sales Engineers (eCRM) (2001-2002) – Web-based project undertaken after considering the need for a system to gather and manage the data generated by sales engineers of any company. Management of Secondary Sales for Pharmaceutical Companies (2002) – Web-based project developed for the collection of secondary sales data from various distributors. SQL Server Synchronization (2001–2002) – Connecting two databases at two different physical locations (cities) and synchronizing the data within them. Activities included study of Static and Dynamic IP addresses, SQL Server Replication, development of algorithms, study of the economic and practical aspects of higher connectivity in a country like India and suggesting the optimal solution. Development of Customer Relations Management Software (2001) – Carried out Requirement Analysis at clients’ site followed by the Design and Development of the ‘Enquiry Handling’ part of the system using Datascan RAD tools. I worked with VB6.0 and MS SQL Server 7.0 on this project. Development of After Sales Support Software (2001) – Involved design and development of a module to address the ‘Post-Sales’ data management requirements of manufacturing companies in India. I worked with VB6.0 and MS SQL Server 7.0 as well as Datascan RAD Tools on this project. Development of Messenger System for communication over a LAN (2001) – Developed a Messenger System using VB 6.0 and integrated it with the fully integrated Datascan Clarity ERP Projects Undertaken during Undergraduate Study Development of a Jini Lookup Service for a Jini Network (2000-2001) – Implemented the Discovery, Lookup and Join Protocols as stipulated in the Jini Specifications published by Sun Microsystems as well as the Administration, Event Handling and Leasing aspects of the Lookup Service for a Jini Network using the Java Programming Language. Tested the Lookup Service with Clients and Services provided by Sun Microsystems on multiple workstations. I was part of a four-member team. The project was selected for participation in a National level competition called Concepts 2001. Aftek Infosys Pvt. Ltd (a software export company based in Pune) sponsored the project. Development of Credit Card Payment Scheme for Banks (1999-2000) – The project covered the issuing of checks by banks against credit card payment slips brought in by shopkeepers who accepted payment by credit card.
